Traditional Tattoo Healing — Month 3

Traditional tattoo at month 3 (~90 days): what's normal, Vegas desert notes, and studio photos when documented. Work of Art Las Vegas.

True healed appearance for most styles

Three months is our benchmark for judging black & grey realism, fine line longevity, and color saturation. This is when we publish many healed gallery comparisons.

What's normal

  • Blacks settled — not powdery grey unless designed that way.
  • Fine lines stable without spread.
  • Color mellowed slightly; detail still readable at conversational distance.
  • Solid fills should read even — no patchy gaps if peel was protected.

Watch for — not typical

  • Significant blowout or fade in high-friction zones (palm, foot, inner lip — if applicable).
  • Cover-up still showing old ink ghosting — may need planned pass.

Call Work of Art

  • Book touch-up if agreed during consult.
  • Add healed photos to our documentation queue — same client only.

See a doctor

  • Skin disease symptoms unrelated to tattoo — see dermatologist.

We share general aftercare education — not medical advice.

Las Vegas desert notes

  • Summer pool season in Vegas: SPF + rinse after chlorine.
  • Outdoor workers: reapply SPF through shirt gaps on forearm pieces.

Studio documentation

Studio photo for this style and stage is not yet documented. See our healed gallery and real client timeline for available proof.

Fine grey transitions around the hourglass glass — the kind of piece that fails if values are too soft on day one.
