Katelyn Cole specializes in calm, medical-grade ear piercing for younger clients. Sessions are unhurried, explained step-by-step, and designed so kids and guardians feel confident — most families tell us how smoothly everything goes.
Who we can pierce
- Ages 14 and up for ear piercing with a parent or legal guardian present the entire appointment.
- The accompanying adult must be the legal guardian — we work with you when you are the guardian on record, not only a family friend or relative unless they are the documented guardian.
- Ear piercing focus for minors; other placements are evaluated case-by-case at consultation.
What to bring
- Minor's government-issued ID (or school ID with photo where applicable).
- Guardian's government-issued photo ID.
- Minor's birth certificate linking the guardian to the client.
- Both minor and guardian must be present for the full service — no drop-offs.

We exclusively use implant-grade titanium or solid 14k/18k gold. We never use "surgical steel" or plated metals, as these often contain nickel and can cause irritation or rejection during the healing process.
Who should I book for a tattoo at Work of Art?
Katelyn is our master piercer only. For tattoos — including fine line, realism, and large-scale work — book with Joshua Cole through our appointments page.
What is the healing time for a cartilage piercing?
Cartilage piercings generally take 6 to 12 months to fully mature. Katelyn provides a detailed aftercare kit and schedule to ensure your new piece heals perfectly without bumps or irritation.
Can I bring my own jewelry for a new piercing?
To guarantee sterilization and material safety, we only pierce with jewelry purchased from our studio. We can, however, help you transition to your own high-quality heirloom pieces once the piercing is fully healed.
