Fine Line Tattoo Healing — Week 1

Fine line tattoo at week 1 (Days 5–7): what's normal, Vegas desert notes, and studio photos when documented. Work of Art Las Vegas.

End of first week — peel finishing on small pieces

By end of week one, smaller tattoos often finish peeling. Large black & grey pieces may still flake on inner thighs or elbows where skin moves.

What's normal

  • Peel mostly complete on forearms and calves.
  • Slight dryness and ashiness — normal until month one.
  • Tattoo readable but not at final contrast yet.

Watch for — not typical

  • Scabs pulled off early leaving pits or color loss.
  • Persistent heavy swelling on extremities past day seven.

Call Work of Art

  • Planning second session on a multi-pass cover-up — confirm heal readiness.
  • Fine line looks hairy during peel — photo review before worrying.

See a doctor

  • Medical emergency signs as above.

We share general aftercare education — not medical advice.

Las Vegas desert notes

  • First weekend back at gym: avoid direct friction on the piece (bench press on fresh chest tattoo, etc.).

Studio documentation

Studio photo for this style and stage is not yet documented. See our healed gallery and real client timeline for available proof.
